A Creative Year !

Students have mastered the basic skills of Adobe Publisher and Adobe Photoshop and are now beginning to create some amazing work ! Stay posted as I will be adding new student work to the site shortly.

2010 Recap

I can't believe we have completed another year. It was a very interesting year. I think all my students benefitted by the additional training I received in workshops last summer. (Looking forward to some more this summer). I think the students in Design II classes working with Photoshop did some outstanding work. I have added a lot of new work so be sure to check out the student work section. The students in Design I working with Adobe Illustrator also created some outstanding images.
Overall it was a very successful year. Congratulations to Haley DeBoyd, Marvin Rogers and Brandon Reid for becoming the first Ed White students to earn industry certifications. I look forward to having a lot more next year !

Busy Days

Wow ! You can tell from the dates that I have been busy and so have the students. Be sure to check the student work. Several new projects from the Design I and II students have been added. Design I students are ready to start working with Adobe Illustrator while Design II students work toward getting their industry certifications.

A New Year - A New Beginning

Welcome Back for the new school year!

As you may know we have a new principal, Mr. Simmons. I am very excited about the changes he has put into place and am looking forward to making tremendous improvements this year.

I will be teaching Computing for College and Careers as well as Digital Design I and II this year. I spent the summer learning a lot that I am anxious to share with you ! So let us

Another Year !!

It doesn't seem as if another year is coming to a close. It's been so busy I haven't been able to keep up with the classroom blog like I wanted . Maybe it's time to turn it over to a student to keep up ! The students in Digital Design have been a great group to work with. Among the students were signs of creative genius !
The CCC classes consisting of mainly freshman and sophmores did a good job, but many need to stregthen their work habits and ability to stay focused on the tasks at hand.
I will be attending Adobe workshops this summer so the Design classes should be even better next year !

Computing for College and Careers

November 10th - Students are currently on lesson 9 in the Century 21 text and Lesson 1 of Word Processing in the webTrack curriculum. They are increasing their keyboarding skills by moving from keying letters to words. If computers had keyboards the size of a cell phone they would be wizards at keying with their thumbs only !!

Digital Design 1

November 10th - Students are learning the unique design elements of working in black and white. They are currently creating magazine ads in black and white only.
